Welcome to White Horse Boats!

For canal boat hire and trips on the Kennet & Avon Canal, Devizes, Wiltshire.

We are a family run canal boat hire business established in 1986 operating self-drive narrow boat hire for holidays, public boat trips and private charter boat trips for parties and organised outings on the Kennet & Avon Canal from Devizes Wharf.

Many of our customers appreciate our high levels of service so much that they return year after year to experience at leisure the delights of hiring a boat on the Kennet & Avon Canal. When you hire our narrowboats you can meander through the beautiful Pewsey Vale in the heart of rural Wiltshire and on to Hungerford and Newbury eastwards or you can navigate westwards towards the beautiful city of Bath.

Our narrow boat canal holidays and ‘Kenavon Venture’, our trip boat, are based at Devizes Wharf at the top of the famous Caen Hill flight of 29 locks but you can still take a lock free break if you cruise to Wootton Rivers and back on a 2 day escape from the rush of modern life.

 

We offer 1 ½, 2 ½, 3 & 5-hour trips, to suit your occasion, for up to 50 people on ‘Kenavon Venture’. Public trips at weekends (Easter to end of September) are an hour and a half long. A short commentary is given to provide a brief history of our wonderful waterway, the Kennet & Avon Canal. Come and Enjoy!

Our narrowboat hire canal holidays are taken aboard Moonraker, Moonfleet or Moonshine, which have all been fitted out to a high standard by us. They all have the necessary facilities that make for a pleasurable boating experience. We have added a brand new 56' narrowboat named Moonshine to our fleet for the 2009 season
