1. BOOKINGS will only be accepted when made upon the official
booking form and accompanied by the appropriate deposit. The balance
is due for shortbreak hire 6 weeks before the date of hire and 8
weeks before weekly hire. An additional security deposit of £60 for
shortbreak or weekly hire will be collected before the boat is
handed over.
2. CANCELLATION. Should the hirer cancel the booking we will make
every endeavour to re-let the boat. If we are successful the hirer
will no longer need to pay the balance of the hire charge but the
deposit will be retained to defray expenses. If we are unsuccessful
then the hirer remains liable for the balance of the hire charge.
3. CANCELLATION INSURANCE is not included, should you wish this type
of cover, please make your own arrangements.
4. RETURNS OF BOATS. Boats must be returned at the end of the cruise
in a clean condition and vacated at the agreed time and place.
Failure to do so will incur loss of the security deposit.

lost or stolen.
6. INSURANCE of the boat and the hirer's liability to other parties
(up to £1,000,000) is included in the hire charge.

responsibility for damage to passenger's property, baggage, motor
cars etc howsoever caused.
8. REPAIRS are White Horse Boat's responsibility and must not be put

company immediately if repairs or service are needed. The hirer will
be responsible for the cost of any repairs caused by negligence.

before sunrise without prior permission of the Company. The hirer
must obey any instructions given him by the Company or British
Waterways.

shall not be bound to make any financial adjustment in the event of
cruising waters being restricted through repair works, floods, lack
of water, lock closure or any other cause beyond the control of the
